Kid’s Camp began in 2002 as a ministry of SouthCoast Community Church with a desire to provide a safe and supportive environment for all children, ages 3 through completion of grade 12, regardless of religious background, race or gender. As we look forward to a new summer of Kid’s Camps, we are humbled by the number of families we continue to serve and children we help to grow.
Over these past years, we’ve learned a few things about our camp, our families, and our kids. First, we’ve learned that every child deserves to be treated with the greatest amount of respect and dignity. It doesn’t matter how many kids we may have in camp, each child is a unique individual. Second, no matter how much our world speeds up, the opportunity to pause and let our kids just be kids, has never been more important. And third, at the end of the camp day, after all the Music, Sports, Trust building / Adventure recreation, Bible study, Arts and crafts, games and indoor activities have taken place, what remains most important are the relationships. The quality of these relationships we help foster and the positive influence we impart on our campers is simply what SCCC Kid’s Camps are all about. We have always considered our camps more than a day camp. SCCC Kid’s Camp provides this amazing opportunity to come together with friends and role models. It’s a time to learn new things, accomplish great feats, and realize your innate importance in this world. Each camp session is a journey and an adventure, complete with its own theme, sports and special activities. No two sessions are alike! Check out the information inside this brochure.
